Industry Consortium for Workforce Development

Mission

Developing the workforce to drive the future of domestic manufacturing by providing critical training in pharmaceutical sciences to upskill current employees and to create a pipeline for prospective talent.

Overview

Companies will be invited to join the workforce development consortium for an annual membership contribution.  This fee will be allocated towards training, in addition to which companies will receive a 25% bonus.  As the consortium is formed, a menu of training programs and courses will be made available to members.  The type of training and specific content will be adapted to suit the needs of the consortium.  Courses will be taught by faculty and staff from NIPTE universities based on area of expertise.

Membership

Regular membership: $40,000 ($50,000 in training)
Small business: $10,000 ($12,500 in training)

Companies have the option to set an annual contribution higher to the ones above if they anticipate bigger training needs.

Early membership benefits

Companies joining in an early stage through the regular membership will have a seat on the consortium’s steering committee and will play a role in:

  • Developing the vision for the consortium
  • Selecting programs for immediate offering
  • Identifying topics for curriculum development
  • Evaluating training programs

Courses and Training

The NIPTE consortium has available a wide array of courses and training programs designed for the FDA, industry, and the USP.  Varying in duration, level, delivery, format, and location, this offering will easily fit the needs of companies and personnel.  However, in addition to pre-existing modules and content, members may request customized programs to suit specific needs.  NIPTE can also provide training different languages (e.g. Spanish, Hindi, Korean…), thus facilitating global collaborations.

Training Fees

  • $500 per person for an 8 h distance course, including 2 hours of contact time with a live instructor for discussion and questions.  Participants: 6 to 15.
  • $10,000 per day (+travel expenses) for on-site instruction at the company, plus access to instructors for follow-up questions – and assessment if need
  • $1,000 per person per day for laboratory-based training.  Fees is inclusive of instructor, assistants, use of facilities, and laboratory materials.  Participants: 6 to 20.
