Dr. James Kirk Drennen, III Named Interim Pharmacy Dean, Duquesne University

Duquesne University has named Dr. James Drennen interim dean of the School of Pharmacy. Drennen will step in for Dean Dr. J. Douglas Bricker when he retires at the end of the spring 2020 semester.

Drennen serves as Duquesne’s lead faculty representative to NIPTE, where he has contributed his time and expertise to a wide range of initiatives that have helped to advance industry-critical research.

“A Duquesne graduate himself and long-time professor and administrator in its School of Pharmacy, Drennen will provide valuable leadership continuity both for Duquesne and NIPTE during the transition,” said NIPTE Executive Director, Dr. Vadim Gurvich. Please join me in congratulating Dr. Drennen and supporting him in this new role!
